On 16th March 2020, Liberia recorded its first Covid 19 case. It will go on to record several cases after that and go through several phases. This disrupted healthcare routines, hindering the delivery of healthcare services. The Healthcare Sector had to quickly adjust through the use of personal protective equipment. The sector kept readjusting to be able to provide optimum service, while protecting frontend service providers.
During Liberia’s third wave of the covid-19 pandemic, Private clinics in Liberia were provided with much needed IPC commodities from HFL through the generous support of: Snapper Hill Clinic Friends of Liberia LIB Healthline Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Susu Foundation Wellness Partners Foundation MedShare International Medical Missionaries Life Mission Inc.
The Federation raised $14,030.00usd in cash and PPE supplies distribution. These items were distributed to thirty HFL Member facilities (Clinics and Hospitals). The compiled donation boxes consisted of: facemasks/shields, disinfectant wipes, hand gloves, thermometers, oxygen tubes, PPE protection kits, pulse ox, syringes, surgical gowns, ambu bags, Respironics etc.
